Police take full points from first-time visitors Horley

The Met Police continued their perfect start to the season, claiming a fifth bonus point victory from five League games in Surrey 3. Tries from Police Officer, Chris Bamber-Blake,Chris Holloway, and Rory Byrne, augmented by 12 points from the boot of James Connolly, took the Met to a 32-21 victory over Horley.
The two clubs were meeting for the first time in history and the visitors appeared to enjoy their debut at Imber Court in spite of the result. Horley had enjoyed a good start to the season with three straight wins but have now come unstuck on their last two outings. They now have to entertain the League's other pace-setters, Old Caterhamians, and hope to stop an unfortunate run of results.
The Met, meanwhile, can be very pleased with the result, even though their early season score differentials have now been surpassed by Old Cat's and Old Rut's. The Met found themselves playing a proportion of this match with only fourteen men, thanks to the two yellow cards received by Kob Yeboah which ended up in him being dismissed from the field. The Met weathered the disadvantage to record the win that keeps them level with Old Caterhamians at the top of the table.
Elsewhere, Old Rutlishians suffered a shock defeat at Worth Old Boys, ending their unbeaten record. Met travel to Old Ruts next Saturday and will have to beware the wounded animal. Caterhamians continued their awesome form, beating London Media by 50 points and are now averaging over 58 points a game! Creeping up on the rails after a difficult start to the season, are Old John's who put 89 points on Croydon for the concession of a solitary try.
The Met 2nd XV illustrated the Club's burgeoning strength in depth, recording a resounding victory against local rivals Kingston, 69-31.
